Midlife Hobby

Midlife Hobby is where brushes meet dice. Here I share my journey through miniature painting, basing, and wargaming — from Warhammer 40,000 to the worlds of Necromunda and Age of Sigmar. It’s a space to celebrate the craft, the lore, and the simple joy of building something small but epic.

About Me

Me, pre-midlife, circa 2013

Hi. Welcome to Midlife Hobby. My name is Ali, I live in Dubai, and I’ve set up this website for my miniature painting and wargaming hobby. Please feel free to look around as I spend my free time painting mini toy soldiers in my midlife, crisis excluded.

Do you live in Northern Dubai?

They’re the reason I discovered @akinteractive.official paints, and I got the whole 3rd Gen Standard range. But I need to understand light and reflections better.
